ROUTE 1

Two days before our trip back home, it was cloudy that Sunday morning and rain was expected that day, however when we arrived at Getty Center, the clouds cleared out and it was bright again as any other LA typical day. Getty Center is a really enjoyable with its stunning exhibitions, unique architecture and especially what I loved most was the beautiful Central Garden and the Cactus Garden, where you could also overlook the city.

After visiting Getty Center, we thought about also visiting Getty villa which was located on the Malibu Coast. However while driving along Route 1, we changed our minds and decided to go for El Matador State Beach at Malibu. When we arrived, we were both mesmerised by the breathtaking coastal view from up above before walking down to the beach. The place was quiet and relaxing, people reading books, seagulls stealing snacks and friends having fun. We strolled along the beach, listening to the sound of waves and waited for the sunset.

While heading back, we made another quick decision to get off at Santa Monica beach for dinner. Although Santa Monica Beach was considered too touristy for many, I still enjoyed the lively vibes, the lights of Pacific Park during nighttime, street performances and music while walking along 3rd Street Promenade.

Travel-Summer walk

One Saturday, Jerry and I decided to go to Jinshan since the weather was super nice. We've visited this place several times, however each time feels completely different. It's still beautiful as always, yet the way we see things may change from time to time, from different perspectives or due to the current mood change. There was way more people than the last time we went, bringing the place somehow a little bit more lively. Families, friends and couples, playing around the seashore, taking photos and chatting around, we just sat on a rock and watched people passing by with all smiles on their faces, feeling calm and easy.

Travel-Yushan Mountain

The first mountain I climbed up to was Yushan, which is the highest mountain(3952m) in Taiwan. According to many hikers on the internet, Yushan was like the basic level and we thought it would be a good start for us beginners. The total journey was 2 days 2 nights, and for someone who had never carried this heavy and walked for this long, it was as tough as I had imagined.

In the first couple of hours, I still managed to smile and taking photos along as we walked. The weather was sunny with a blue clear sky, the scenery was so amazing and it was very quiet, only the sound of nature and your footsteps. Gradually I started to feel the tiredness, my mind was blank and I just walked, eyes on the footsteps ahead of me. To be honest, on the way the thought of “Why am I here?” “I should’ve stayed home …blahblahblah constantly popped out of mind. However after we reached Paiyun Lodge, which was where we would be sleeping during the night, I finally get to put down that heavy backpack and ran around discovering the beauty from every angle on top. We found a platform to sit and watch the cloud movements and sunset, pigs were even spotted to our surprise having dinner beneath us.

Early 2 oclock in the morning, we woke up and started climbing up towards the peak. It was absolutely dark, our vision was totally depending on the head lights. I remember it was freezing, and our hands were all stiffed. After a rough climbing process using both hands and feet, we finally reached the peak. We stood there, watching the sun slowing rising, at that moment you realised that everything was worth witnessing that view, nothing could describe how much I felt at that time.

Travel-Ko Sichang

On the first day of 2017, we left early morning from the cold winter and flew to Bangkok on holidays. This was our first time in Thailand, therefore we just wandered everywhere on the streets, visit places that just sudden popped in mind and simply enjoyed! We also spent 2 days and went to a nearby island named Ko Sichang. The island is quiet and with beautiful sceneries, also be aware of pigs walking on the streets. We really loved the island atmosphere, definitely worth the visit.

Perfect weather

Moments shared with loved ones, family and friends is everything.

With the perfect weather, our family went to the beach on a Sunday afternoon. It always feels different to go to the same place with different accompanies.  With family, the mood was easy and watching other children playing ball on the beach, I myself felt like an 8 year old running and jumping around with my family beside me, strolling down the beach with the golden sunset.

September snow

A walk in the September snow.. due to the 80% raining rate we were rushing around and took many photos of these cutie flowers. Caution: Wear shoes that would cover your ankles, just in case you get bitten by super ants which will cause you to itch for hours.

Orchid Island

Orchid Island is truly one of the most dreamy places I've ever visited. We've visited there for 3 days, yet there's no way of describing how beautiful the island is and how I felt during our stay. The scenery and its chill atmosphere gave us the perfect getaway we needed from our working days. No schedule to rush, just one motorcycle, good friends and making memories that would last a lifetime.

Riding between mountains and seas with goats everywhere.
